Race Points
1. Number of Races
You must race a minimum of 5 races in order to qualify for overall, season ending series awards. There are NO RULES regarding which 5 races you choose, you simply must register - start - finish 5 series races
2. Signing Up AFTER you've raced & AFTER the series has begun
Please refer to the RACE CALENDAR to help clarify. You can sign up for the series up until the day before the next race after the last race you participated in
-
For example: you race Yankee Springs Time Trial on April 26th, 2025, then you sign up and join the series:
-
Before midnight on May 3rd, 2025, you can sign up for the series and have your Yankee Springs Time Trial points count
-
3. Race Classes
For Time trials, if a race series offers more age categories than the series, those age categories will be combined for series points. For example Yankee Spring Time Trial has Sport Men 30-34 and Sport Men 35-39 age groups, those results will get combined into the MORC Sport Men 30-39 results for the series.
For XC Races, if the race has a category not in the series, you will not get series points if you race that category. We have worked with the XC races to get their categories in line with the MORC series.
4. Racing vs. non-MORC participants:
A note for point scoring, the points you get are for your placing, regardless if the racers that finish in front of you are not in the series.
Example:
1st place - in series
2nd place - not in series
You get 3rd place, and are in the series, you will get 3rd place points.
