Description
A fondo is a giant party on wheels where cyclists compete against the clock and each other! Choose one of these breathtaking courses along beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake. We have fully stocked aid stations, tech support and chip timing. This year's event offers 5 distances from 14 miles up to 116 miles. Centro and Piccolo riders get a boat cruise either to or from Harrison. Join us along these classic courses for our 2025 event!
For those that want to participate in Oktoberfest after their ride, we have partnered with Coeur d'Alene's Downtown
Association to offer you a slight discount on your Oktoberfest tickets which will include a beer can glass, 8 (4 oz.) tasting tickets and entrance to beer gardens. Oktoberfest tickets sell out quickly every year, only a limited number of our discounted tickets are available.
RIDE DESCRIPTIONS
Gran Fondo:
Start your ride at the crosswalk at Sherman Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Coeur d'Alene. This 116 mile ride heads around the lake to the east toward Harrison, Idaho. Complete a loop out along the Coeur d'Alene River and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes with scenic views of the Chain Lakes. Finish your ride along the westside of the lake on Highway 95 back to Independence Point. There is a short section of gravel on East Yellowstone Trail on this ride . Registration includes shirt, custom medal, stocked aid stations, finish line meal, chip timing, gear check and special needs bag drop.
Medio Fondo:
Start your ride at the crosswalk at Sherman Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Coeur d'Alene. This 86 mile ride heads around the lake to the east to Harrison, Idaho and drops down to the Trail of the Coeur d’ Alene’s. Then finish your ride along the West side of the Lake on Highway 95 back to Independence Point. There is a short section of gravel on East Yellowstone Trail on this ride. Registration includes shirt, custom medal, stocked aid stations, finish line meal, chip timing, gear check and special needs bag drop.
Centro Fondo:
Start by taking the Coeur d'Alene Resort cruise boat to Harrison, Idaho at the south end of the lake. After this 2 hour scenic boat ride, you will ride 47 miles along the west side of the Lake on Highway 95 back to Independence Point. Registration includes shirt, custom medal, stocked aid stations, finish line meal, chip timing, gear check and special needs bag drop.
Piccolo Fondo:
Start your ride at the crosswalk at Sherman Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Coeur d'Alene.This 36 mile ride heads around the lake to the east. Riders finish their ride in Harrison, Idaho and board a CDA Resort cruise boat back to downtown Coeur d'Alene. Riders must maintain a 10mph average to make the boat cutoff. All Piccolo riders must be in Harrison by 11:30am at the latest to board the last cruise boat. There is a short section of gravel on East Yellowstone Trail on this ride. Registration includes shirt, custom medal, stocked aid stations, finish line meal, chip timing, gear check and special needs bag drop.
Family Fondo:
Start your ride at the crosswalk at Sherman Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Enjoy a 14 mile (7 miles each way) ride along the waters edge on the North Idaho Centennial Trail to Higgen's Point and back. You might even see an American Bald Eagle along the way. Registration includes shirt, 1 self serve water station on course and finish line meal. (Meal availability time is TBD)

CDA Fondo Virtual:
Ride at the convenience of your own home and still get all the CDA Fondo swag. Choose the number of miles you ride on CDA Fondo weekend. Ride the full 116, or something less. Post the number of miles you rider to our results website. Pick-up your swag at a local packet pick-up or have it shipped to your door!
