Tour de Scottsdale

My passion for cycling began in 2001 when I completed my first century ride. I was hooked! And through Uphill Into The Wind I try to share that passion with others. Our mission is to provide FREE bicycle loans to individuals who want to participate in a charity cycling or triathlon event. To date we have loaned bikes to 439 participants who have raised nearly $600K for 32 different charities. And many of those individuals have gone on to buy a bicycle and continue to ride in charity events, raising even more money for charity! At the same time they are enjoying the fitness that cycling provides.

The second part of my passion for cycling has to do with safety for all cyclists. This is what lead to Uphill Into The Wind partnering with the Rob Dollar Foundation to get a Share The Road specialty license plate approved for Arizona. Funds generated by the sale and renewal of the plate are designated to promote safety and awareness for all cyclists.
