Volunteer FAQ
Do I need to have specific skills and experience to volunteer at the event?
No previous experience is necessary. Having a positive attitude, showing up, and most importantly fun!
What should I wear or bring to the event?
All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt at volunteer check in. Depending on the weather, dress in layers to compensate for cool to warm weather throughout the day. We ask that you not wear any logo'd clothing items that do not represent the event as we want to ensure there is a consistent look amongst all volunteers so they are easily identifiable. Be sure to wear comfortable outdoor footwear as you will be outside and your feet the majority of the time.
Please bring a valid ID with you for volunteer check-in. Students are allowed to use school ID's. Limit your personal belongings to items that can be carried in your pockets otherwise they will need to be gear checked.
Lastly, bring your smile!
What support will I be given at the event?
We will provide instructions and information prior to the event. At the event, there will be staff members to assist you with any questions you have to ensure you are comfortable in your role. All jobs can be trained on site.
