Should I volunteer or bike?

  • Volunteers are needed most. You can help at the Rotary Hospitality Tent or out on the course... bring family or a friend!
  • Bikers can choose from four routes, from a flat, sociable 25 miles up to a challenging 100. After you sign up here on the Woohoo website to get your fundraising tools, we'll direct you to the Denver Century website. You'll choose which route as you sign up there.
  • You’ll have fun either way!

How much does the Woohoo cost?

The Woohoo is a free fundraising platform, and no one is required to fundraise or donate… although that’s the hope! The Denver Century is $80 to $119 based on the route and how soon you sign up. That covers traffic police, permits, rest stops, lunch, beer and soda, a post-ride party, and more. Volunteering is free!

How much could we raise?

  • Tucson’s “Ride to End Polio” has raised $18 million in 12 years… so can we!
  • Participants raised $860 on average last year.
  • For a typical club… aim in Year 1 for 50% participation and $500 per participant.

How much will we net?

About 95%... it’s unusually cost-effective! The card processor is 4% and shared expenses are just 1%. A club foundation serves at no charge as the tax-exempt clearinghouse for all donations. Clubs can use their proceeds however they wish.

What if my club isn’t doing the Woohoo?

You can sign up regardless, although your club will raise a LOT more if you encourage everyone to participate.

Will the Woohoo fit with other fundraisers?

Probably… emailing friends & family nationwide taps into new revenue for most clubs.

Can I invite family and friends to join me?

Absolutely! They can sign up and can also fundraise or donate if they like. Use the Woohoo to introduce them to your club.

What if I don’t live near Denver?

Local Rotarians are opening their homes as free bed and breakfasts, or there will be a special Rotary rate at a local hotel.

Can I use an electric bike?

No problem. Just promise you won't leave your friends in the dust.

What about COVID?

We don’t expect COVID to be a big issue for outdoor events in September, but the Denver Century will follow all State guidelines.
