Experienced Cyclist Only Please - (will be on Bike during Race with typical riding 40-50 miles) - Athlete Support and Gear, Bike Course Safety, Sweeps Course at end of bike cut-off. Will manage Bike Marshalls
Parking - Recommend Lots B,C,D,F (see Map)
1. Check-In @ Volunteer at Athlete Village to get Shirt/Swag/Food/Flags by no later than 6:30am
2. Meet with Bike Coordinator (Jennie Hanson) @ 7:00am by Transition Area - Mount/Dismount to receive location assignment, meet Bike Course marshals, and safety protocols
3. Return flags back to volunteer tent after bike course closes
4. Have fun - make noise and feel free to join us at Irondequoit Brewing Company
Bike Course SAGs main priority is to provide direction and safety for cyclists during race by blocking intersection, reporting accidents to race leadership/EMT, and keeping spectators a safe distance from the action.
Other priorities include are enforcing racing etiquette/sportsmanship amongst athletes and breaking down the bike course in their area.
