Route Marking Team

Details

We need volunteers to go out and paint route markings. You will be assigned a section of the coarse with a partner for marking your section and supplied with paint(s), broom and stencil. We will meet at Athens Technical College in the Gym Parking Lot at 9:30am. Once you have finished your assigned section your free to head home and your coordinator will work out a time a place to get any left over supplies used in this task.

Set-Up Support Team

Parking Support Team

As a volunteer on this team you will be responsible to help with directing participants as they arrive to the designated parking areas.

Day-Of Registration Check-In

Details

Day-Of Registration opens at 7:00am and ends at 8:30am. You will take in Registration Forms and take in the fee donations from riders registering the day of the ride. At 8:30am you will count and fill out the tally sheet for your lock box and turn it in to your Team Leader.

Pre-Registration Check-in

Details

Pre-Registration check-in opens at 7am and ends at 8:30am. You will check in those riders that have pre-registered on-line by simply checking them off an excel spreadsheet. You may need to handout Team Serrano jersey's, if your spreadsheet indicates the rider checking in preordered one and bib numbers as well.

Rider T-shirt, Tumbler Distribution

Once riders return you will handout either a commemorative ride t-shirt or the 16oz Tumbler w/Logo whichever they chose when registering.

SAG Support Team

Details

We need volunteers to drive the various routes: 10mile, 39mile, 62mile, 100mile (using your vehicle - must be able to transport a rider and his bike if the need arises) You will be assigned a route to patrol, you will stop at the Rest Stop(s) and keep the Rest Stop Team captain apprised of any issues encountered and the Bib Number of the last rider on that assigned route. You will patrol your assigned route until all riders have reached their last Rest Stop.

Lunch Support Team

You will be responsible for prepping for lunch. You will setup the boxes of provided sandwiches, chips and drinks and then hand them out to the riders as they return.

SWAG Sales Team

This team will be responsible for setting up, taking in sales and handing out merchandise. These will be items that were leftover from our previous rides...items like t-shirts, jersey's, jersey bins, water bottles, drawing string bags, etc.

Load-Out Support Team

We need volunteers to help load-out all that wonderful stuff that we use to support this awesome event. As Rest Stop Supplies return back in, after they have closed down their particular stop, we need volunteers to help load the rental truck with all the returning items (e.i. tables, totes, food trays, garbage bags, etc.)

Details

You can volunteer to help with preparation... tasks might be baking, bagging, boxing or transporting some of the many different homemade goodies that we prepare ahead for our 5 Rest Stops and the SWAG Sales Team (our take some home offerings).
