Turkey Legs Trifecta & Half Marathon

Q: I cannot come, what are my options?  Can I get a refund?
A:  Sorry there are no refunds for any reason.  We offer 3 different options to choose from.
1) You may switch to virtual and have your swag mailed for $15. 
2) You may have a friend pick up your swag on race day!
3) You may sell/give away your entry to a family/friend at no additional cost.

 
Q:  When is Packet Pickup?
A: Race Day Only - November 30 - Opens at 8:00am and stays open until 11:45am.

Q:  Are there water stops on the 4K, 5K, 6K and Half Marathon course?
A:  No, the start/finish area will have water and sport drinks available.  Half Marathon will pass through finish line area between each LEG which is 3 times. You are welcome to carry a full bottle of water with you until you finish your LEG which is between a 4K - 6K. Must dispose all bottles in trash cans or recycle bins.
 
Q:  How does the Trifecta (15K) Work...? Do we continuously Run/walk?

A:  No, you start the race with the 4K at 10:00am, finish that LEG and take a break. Then start again with the 5K course at 11:00am, finish with another break!  Start the last "Turkey Leg" 6K at 12:15pm... Congrats you completed the "Turkey Legs Trifecta"! 

Q:  How does the Turkey Leg Half Marathon Work? Do we continuously Run/walk?

A:  Yes, the Half Marathon will start at 9:00am with the 6K course and will return to the start/finish area to continue with the 4K (no stop timing breaks). Same thing... continue with the 5K and then finally finish up with the 6K course again (no timing breaks between each leg). Congrats you finished with the Turkey Leg Half Marathon!

Q:  Will the race still happen if it is raining/muddy, windy, sleeting, snowing or storming?
A:  Yes!!!  We will only delay for lightning or tornado.
 
Q:  Can my kids register for the 4K, 5K, 6K or Half Marathon race?
A:  Yes, they sure can!  We recommend your young ones to be at least 13 for the Half Marathon.
 
Q:  Is Southwestway Park closed to the public on race day?

A:  No, the park does not allow us to close to the public.  Please be cautious and aware of other visitors and trail bikers on the course.  We do put warning signs up to make the public aware that there is a "Race in Progress".

Q:  Is the 4K, 5K, 6K or Half Marathon course stroller-friendly?   May I push a stroller? 
A:  No, all courses are on grass, narrow dirt trails with roots!
 
Q:  Is the 5K or Half Marathon dog-friendly?  Can I bring my dog? 
A:  No, sorry we love pets at our events, but the trails are just too narrow and some sections are out n back.
 
Q:  Parking?
A:  Limited of Parking close to the Start/Finish Line and overflow is across Mann Rd (see parking map)

 
Q:  Hotels?
A:  The Hotels Shown on map below are within 30 Minute drive.

 
Q:  Can I Walk?
A:  Yes.  The Half Marathon & 6K has only "Finish Before Darkness" Restriction.  If you are wanting to participate in the Trifecta the 4K has a 59 minute time limit (need to finish before the 5K starts @ 11:00am) and the 5K has a 1hr & 14 minute time limit (need to finish before the 6K starts @ 12:15pm).

Q:  Are there Individual 4K, 5K or 6K Awards? 
A: Yes, Top 3 Male/Female Overall Winners.  
 
Q:  Are there Trifecta (15K) Awards?

A:  Yes, Top 3 Male/Female Overall Winners.  Top 3 Male/Female in each Age Group. Overall winners and 1st in age group will receive special overall and age group medal.  2nd and 3rd place will receive a special age group medal.

Q:  Will the age group prizes be mailed?
A:  No, all prizes must be picked up during Awards Announcement. Be sure to check results before you leave. If you did not pick up your prize there will be a $10 fee to be mailed to you.
