SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Celebrate fitness with Fiesta FitFest presented by H-E-B, San Antonio's newest official Fiesta event, April 12-14, 2023! Created by San Antonio Sports, this weekend of fiesta, fitness, fun and friends features the L'Étape San Antonio by Tour de France, a world-class amateur cycling event, the Beer Mile, Fiesta FitFest 5K &10K presented by Michelob Ultra, the kids ride and group fitness and activities for the whole family in the University Health Athletes' Village & Expo. There will be something for everyone with free access to the festival grounds for spectators and non-stop activity on the Thomas J Henry Center Stage.
Join us as we crown Fiesta's fittest and burn it to earn it the weekend before the start of Fiesta while enjoying the spirit of a traditional Fiesta event with food, libations, and entertainment.
Packet pick up will take place in Athlete's Village at the Fiesta FitFest event site, UTSA main campus, east campus lot. Pick up hours for the SATX 5K/10K are Friday, April 12 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 13 6:00 am to 8:00 am, for the L'Etape San Antonio cycle race are Friday, April 12 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 13 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

SATX 5K/10K Run
Runners, joggers and walkers – strap on your chanclas or lace up your zapatos for the SATX 5K & 10K presented by Michelob Ultra. After the race it's party time at the finish line where all participants 21 and over will enjoy a cold, complimentary Michelob Ultra. Participants also receive chip-timing, a Fiesta FitFest t-shirt and finishers will receive an award medal.
The top male and female overall for each distance receive a $50 H-E-B gift card, and complimentary entry into the Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio, second and third place overall for female and male will receive a $25 H-E-B gift card, complimentary entry into next year's event and an official Fiesta FitFest Fiesta Medal.
The top male and female age group winners will receive an official Fiesta FitFest Fiesta Medal and complimentary entry into next year's event! The second and third place in each age group for male and female will receive an official Fiesta FitFest Fiesta Medal. Age groups are 14U, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Races are Saturday, April 13
The course will start at the FitFest Grounds and head to the Leon Creek Trail. Click here for the 2023 5K Map and 10K Map. *Subject to change.
L'Étape Texas by Tour de France
Experience the Tour de France legend Texas-style! L'Étape San Antonio by Tour de France is part of a worldwide amateur cycling series designed to make you feel like a true Tour de France champion. Race or ride in a course designed by Tour de France experts, winding through your own Texas neighborhoods and off into hill country. If you own a bike, this challenge is for you.
Cycling competition is Sunday, April 14, 2024.
The Kids Race is for ages 4 to 12. Parents can watch, cheer and help their little ones complete laps of the course right in the expo. Medals and snacks for everyone! This a great chance for you to make it a family weekend—kids ride Saturday, you ride Sunday. The Kids Race is $10 and we will offer on-site registrations. Fiesta FitFest Kids Run
Fiesta FitFest Kid’s Run is for children in grades K-6. Parents can watch and cheer on their children as they complete laps on the course near the University Health Athlete’s Village. The kids run will use the same START/FINISH line as our other races. Every child will run four (4) laps which will total to one (1) mile in distance. Every child who finishes will receive a medal.
The Fiesta FitFest Kid’s Run takes place on Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the first wave (K-3rd grade) starting at 11 a.m. and the second wave (4th-6th grade) starting at 11:30 a.m.
1st Wave, Kindergarten through 3rd Grade - 11 a.m.
2nd Wave, 4th through 6th Grade - 11:30 a.m.
Thomas J. Henry Center Stage Fitness Workout Classes
Event: Beer Yoga lead by Corn Bread
Join Corrnbread Yogo for a relaxed session of yoga on Friday evening, maybe after you competed in the beer mile. Can have you beer with your yoga or when your done, your choice.
What participants should bring = Bring your own mat and water.
What participants should wear = Athletic attire & comfortable tennis shoes

ACTIVATE Zumba with Paulo
ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic and exciting workout. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

ACTIVATE Yoga with Caprice
This class will guide you through movement that develops strength, flexibility, and develops the connection between body, mind & breath. Deepen your understanding of the postures & basic alignment in the body, breathing, and relaxation techniques.
What participants should bring = Bring your own mat and water.
What participants should wear = Athletic attire & comfortable tennis shoes

San Antonio Sports i play! afterschool program introduces U.I.L. sport fundamentals after school to inner-city 1,450 children annually by providing coaching, equipment, and nutrition and character-building lessons. Our ACTIVATE program expands our family fitness efforts with a fun, incentivized weekly FREE fitness classes and FREE 5K's year-round.
