Description
A true multi surface ride from north Denton that includes pavement, gravel, singletrack and double track. Please note that this route utilizes the Ray Roberts Greenbelt which is part of the Texas State Parks system. Entrance fee is required for use of the park. That section can be easily bypassed if needed.
The full route as mapped is 52ish miles but can be easily adjusted for shorter distances. A 20ish mile option includes the Greenbelt trail, a 40ish mile option excludes the singletrack leg.
This is a suggested/recommended route for a group ride. This is not an official event. There are no course markings, sag vehicles or aid stations. Riders are completely self supported and self navigated. A route navigation file and overview description will be available for registered riders. There is no implied guarantee of accuracy for the route file. Riders are responsible for adhering to the Texas Transportation Code and to ride in a responsible manner.
There are short sections of this route which utilize higher speed paved sections. High visibility clothing and front/rear lighting are highly recommended.
Meetup/staging is from the Denton Skate Park. There are no accessible restrooms at this location that we are aware of. Take care of restroom business before you start. Restrooms notated along the route also have water available and there is one store as well.
