In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Directors, Alexandria American Legion Post 24, Inc., officers, members, RunSignup.com, and all of their agents, sponsors, representatives, volunteers and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. Furthermore, I, the participant, hereby hold harmless all foregoing parties from any and all liability, claims (including, but not limited to, any claims based on negligent acts or omissions of indemnified parties), demands, expenses, fees, fines, penalties, suits, proceedings, actions, costs of actions, including attorneys' fees for trial and appeal, arising from or connected in any way with bodily injury, personal injury, death, or property damages/loss arising from the participation in this event. This release also includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend, and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.
I understand that this event is a "virtual" activity where I may run, walk, and/or roll on my own, on dates and at times of my choosing, at locations and on routes of my choosing, and which will not have any support or security measures in place provided by any of the foregoing parties. I know that participating (e.g., running, walking, and/or rolling) in this event is a potentially hazardous activity. I will not enter and participate (e.g., run, walk, and/or roll) in this event unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating (e.g., running, walking, and/or rolling) in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather (including heat, humidity, cold, precipitation, ice, winds), traffic, and course (e.g., route, road, trail) conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in participating in similar events. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this event that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that a licensed Medical Doctor has verified my physical condition.
In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during this event, or as a result of participating in this event, I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.
Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing parties to use my name, voice and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.
This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. Event Directors reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond their control such as a natural disaster, emergency, etc. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Event Directors reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. I understand that my entry fee is non-refundable, and bib numbers are non-transferable. Furthermore, I understand that none of the foregoing parties are liable for the unlikely loss of commemorative coins during the shipment and delivery processes. I, the participant, am responsible for ensuring the correct mailing address, or mailing addresses if registering more than one person, is/are entered into my registration for the event.
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
