2025 Bridge Birthday Bash

We're having a party! 

The Chain of Rocks Bridge is turning another year older, and what better way to celebrate than with a fun Trailnet Classic Bike Ride and cake! 

BBB Classic is back for 2025, and better than ever. Come out on Saturday, May 4, to commemorate the 96th Birthday of the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and enjoy a part of St. Louis history. We have routes planned for all comfort levels, post-ride expo, Perennial Artisan Ales Beer, Fitz's Root Beer, and the sweetest ending with delicious Duke's Bakery Birthday cake! 

This year, we will also celebrate May 4th with a special nod to everyone's favorite sci-fi - Star Wars. ✨🌟🛸 We invite you to channel your inner dark side (or Jedi) and deck out your bike, helmet, or yourself in your favorite Star Wars accessories. (no masks, please!) Ride, we must! 

The Bridge Birthday Bash is your chance to enjoy unique routes on relaxed back roads, bridges, and the Madison County Trails. This ride is perfect if you're new to biking or just got back into it, but if you're up for a challenge, we have you covered, too!  

Saturday's Schedule:

Check-in and late registration begins at 7:30 am. Look for the blue Trailnet tents. 

The ride will have an open start window from 8 am to 9 am. Be sure to have the latest route updates downloaded for directions. 

8:45 am: Staging for family (3.7 mile) route. 

9 am: Family Route begins, led by Trailnet Staff 

10 am: Post-ride festivities begin.

Important Parking Information:

Due to limited space at the Chain of Rocks Bridge Park, parking will be in designated areas approximately one mile from the event starting line. 

Old Chain of Rocks Bridge Parking - Illinois 4205-4207 Chain of Rocks Rd, Granite City, IL 62040 

Mississippi Greenway Trailhead: North Riverfront Park-North Entrance - MO side: 10550 Riverview Dr, St. Louis, MO 63137

If parking at Chouteau Island on the Il side, you will have to cross over the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge to get to the start, approximately one mile. If you park at North Riverfront Park, it is about 1.4 miles to the starting line. We will have muffins and coffee waiting for you there! 

Security will be provided at North Riverfront Park from 8 am to 2 pm.
