Description
Off-season training program for junior cyclists looking to enhance their competence on the bike through a structured training regimen consisting of sport-specific strength and circuit training. Classes are structured to accommodate all abilities, ensuring every participant gets a developmentally appropriate level of challenge according to their individual goals, competence, availability, and rate of progression.
Indoor cycling programming using smart-trainer technology. LCW will provide a smart trainer for those that don’t have them (this is limited to 8). This training will be once a week through a virtual connection from the comfort of home.
Strength Training + Ride Day
- Dates: December 3rd - March 7th (13 weeks)
- Day/Time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:45 PM
- Location: On Tuesdays and Thursdays we will meet at the Studio inside the Trailhead building at Theodore Wirth Park. Wednesday's ride day will meet virtually from the comfort of your home.
- Equipment needed: Bike, water bottle, towel, tennis shoes, Smart Trainer (provided), and a mobile phone or tablet with Rouvy or Swift app installed. We will make arrangements for you to stop by the Trailhead to pickup a smart trainer along with a short tutorial on how to setup and use it.
