Description
Embark on a thrilling adventure in the Bottleneck Bridge Ride, proudly brought to you by Trailnet, Festus Tourism Commission, City of Festus, and the Jefferson County Growth Association. Affectionately known as "One Hill of a Ride," this event promises a memorable and scenic journey through the heart of Jefferson County. This event offers cyclists routes from 13 to 67 miles through Jefferson County, featuring rest stops at wineries, restaurants, and historic sites like Sandy Creek Covered Bridge.
For our younger riders, we are excited to announce the return of the kids' races, thanks to Living Life on 2 Wheels. This event is always a hit and adds extra fun to the day. Registration is free, and every child who participates will receive a prize.
After the ride, stay and enjoy live music, delicious pizza, a vendor expo, raffles, and unique shopping along historic Festus Main Street.

Training Rides!
Join some of your fellow Bottleneck Bridge Brigaders on an official training ride! We have two opportunities for you to get those legs ready for some fun climbing and soaring. Click on the links below for more information.
July 27th - LaChance Winery - De Soto location. The 3rd training session for the BBR will be taking place at LaChance Winery at 9 am! As usual, there will be two route options and post ride wine and snacks to indulge in. Link to Facebook Event
August 4th - Russel House. Last of the BBR Training Series will take place at Russell House Restaurant! Tag along on one of the training rides and then have some tasty treats and drinks. Don't miss this chance to practice before the big day! Link to Facebook Event

6:30 am - Registration opens
7:30 am - Staging for all routes begins
7:45 am - Registration closes
8 am - rolling group start led by a police escort. Once riders have been escorted into Crystal City, they may ride at their own pace. The group start is not optional and is required by the Cities of Festus and Crystal City.
11 am - live music by Noah Glen and These Dirty Chords - Food Vendors Open
12:30 - Kids Bike Safety Rodeo and Helmet Clinic - Sign up HERE
1:00 pm -Music by the Beardsley Brothers
2:30 pm - Kid's race - under the Trailnet arch at the start/finish line
New for 2024!
We have partnered with the Twin City Area Optimist Club to bring you the first-ever Bottleneck Bridge Kids Helmet Fitting and Bike Safety Rodeo!
A bike rodeo is a chance for kids ages 3-12 to hone their bike riding skills in a controlled, instructor-led environment. After a helmet fitting, registrants will visit various stations to learn about bike safety, rules of the road, coordination skills, and basic bike mechanics. Every child will receive a free bike helmet courtesy of Helmet's First and the Twin City Area Optimist Club. This is Not Included with the kids race, must sign up for them separately.
