Join us for the Seventh Annual Moonlight Ride for Hunger! The Moonlight Ride for Hunger is a family-friendly community event that benefits the Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. Due to unforeseen bridge construction, we will not be able to ride across the bridges. The ride route that takes you down to the Bill Klingner Bike Trail, back to Bob Bangert Park, and then back to Clat Adams again for a total of 8 miles.
The Moonlight Ride for Hunger is an annual event to raise money for the Horizons Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. Horizons is a local ministry that has fed over 32,000 people through their food pantry and served over 50,000 meals through their kitchen just last year. Located at 224 South 8th Street in Quincy, IL, this ministry is at the epicenter of the need of impoverished people in Adams County.
Registration is required for all events and 100% of all proceeds (after expenses) from the Moonlight Ride for Hunger go to Horizons for use in their outreach to the needy in Quincy and the surrounding area! Individuals registering before August 10th will get a free Moonlight Ride t-shirt. Please note that the registration fee for the Adult Bike Ride increases to $40 if you wait until the day of the race to register. Online registration ends on August 25th, after which you will need to register at Madison Davis or at the event itself. The late registration booth will open at 5:30 PM on August 26th for anyone who needs to register then. The ride starts promptly at 7:00 PM.
