Idaho Enduro Series 2015 - Full Series Registration

From its ancient granite spires to the alpine forests and high desert scrub Idaho screams out Enduro Racing. Our goal is to stage a first of its kind bicycle “Enduro” series in Idaho. The series will be comprise of three large-scale race events that will attract riders from the Treasure Valley as well as visitors from the surrounding area including Northern Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah. The series will run from May to August. There will be one event near Boise and two near McCall. The series finale in August will be a three day bike festival with a all mountain chainless race, cross country, kids race and enduro.

The series will strive to provide a fun and challenging experience for all abilities. Race fees will be lowered in the beginner categories to encourage first time racers. The Idaho Enduro Series will focus on increasing female participation by offering free clinics, classes, and reduced entry fee for beginners. The series is hoping with these incentives women will make up at least 30% of the total racers.

Race 1: May 9th – Eagle Bike Park, Eagle, ID
Race 2: June 20th – 21st – Jug Mountain Ranch, McCall, ID
Race 3: August 14th – 16th – Brundage Mountain, McCall, ID

VENUES AND FESTIVALS
The Idaho Enduro Series will take place at some of the top mountain and resort destinations in the state; Jug Mountain Ranch and Brundage Mountain. The series will contain a race nearly every month during the mountain bike season, beginning in May and running through August. Not only do we have top venues, but the courses and trails used for each race are respectively some of the best in the country.

FORMAT
We will strive to create a fun, festival type atmosphere with music, demos, and great after parties; all for the whole family to enjoy.

Although the enduro races themselves are the highlight of each weekend, festival components offer opportunities for demos, cross-promotions and partnership exposure. Our goal is to support and celebrate riders, not just racers but people who love to ride bikes and play outdoors, all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Racers will be competing for individual prizes at each venue. Riding all three enduros will make you eligible for the series over all awards. A special team competition will combine the points of a male and female rider from any category toward the King and Queen of Enduro.

GIVING BACK TO OUR TRAILS
Five percent of all race entry fees will be donated to associated forestry jurisdictions and trail advocates in order to maintain trail development, restoration, signage, and other sustainable needs. These proceeds will immediately benefit the trails we have in Idaho. In addition, the Idaho Enduro Series staff will coordinate ongoing volunteer work parties before and after each event to help maintain the trails used for this regional series.

WHAT IS ENDURO RACING?
Enduro is a form of mountain bike racing in which the downhill sections are proportionally greater than uphill and cross country sections. This aims to test rider’s technical bike handling skills as well as challenging endurance and climbing.

Riders race multiple Enduro stages; the winner is the competitor with the lowest aggregate time.
The stages are conducted in a time trial format with single riders being released at specific time intervals. This reduces trail congestion and enhances the participant’s experience.

Enduro differs from cross-country cycling racing, which historically places more emphasis on cardiovascular fitness and less emphasis on technical ability, or to pure downhill racing formats, which may contain little to no climbing or cross country skill.

The Enduro ‘All Mountain’ discipline favors riders with a breadth of skill, on multi discipline cycles; lightweight XC bikes may lack sufficient suspension travel for fast downhill control, whilst full DH bikes may not allow a rider to climb the uphill sections.

You have the choice of registering for all of the enduro events or the enduro plus the cross country races.

The first option includes a free IES pint glass.  The second option includes a free Idaho Enduro Series t-shirt.
