Description

The Pigman Sprint Triathlon is a favorite for top pros, serious amateurs, recreational racers, and first-time triathletes. This .5K swim, 25K bike and 5K run sells out very quickly because it's the perfect way to start your summer triathlon racing season. The Pigman Olympic Distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run) ups the challenge.

We are honored to have been chosen as the 2024 USAT Iowa Championships.

Relay Teams

Relay teams are welcome at the Pigman. Top Male, Female or Coed teams will win awards.

Time-Trial Swim Start Format

Elite athletes and teams will start in waves beginning at 7:30am. All other athletes will start in a Time-Trial format. For the Time-Trial start, athletes will line up according to their respective age group wave (USA Triathlon age is based on your age as of 12/31). One person will start every 3 seconds by crossing over the chip timing mat on the beach before entering the water.

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Event

The Pigman Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. More details can be found at www.usatriathlon.org.

The Pigman Triathlon will be chip timed

Chiropractic and Massage Services

There will be free chiropractic and massage services for participants of the Pigman Triathlon.

Club Championship

For the Club Championships we will be using Cross Country Scoring.

To be scored a club will require at least 3 Male and Female finishers.

Each of the scored participants will receive points equal to their overall place. Ie. 1st place receives 1 point. 2nd place 2 pts, and so on…. The team with a combination of 6 finishers with the lowest total points will win the Club Championship.
