GRAVEL GROWLER at Oconee Brewing Co. p/b GA Cycle Sport/Specialized

UPDATE:  We are still watching the forecast but as of Friday afternoon,  the ride is still on!  Rain should be moving out just before roll out time and most if not all of the roads will be rideable  and likely in decent shape with dust settled.

Join Specialized Ambassador Lisa Baynes & Gatewood Baynes  on Sunday April 30th at 9am for one of their favorite 50 mile gravel routes leaving from Oconee Brewing Co.

You may remember this as the Ga Rodeo Rally ride in 2022 or Gatewood’s Gravel Growler. Same route, same chunky Ham Fork Road (although you can bypass this if you are ok losing a mile). Ask if interested, or easily spot it on the rwgps link.

You will need a gravel or mountain bike for this route. Mostly gravel with a few stretches of low traffic paved road and some chunky stuff on one road. (see above). Depending on the participants, we'll have a slightly altered start if needed, so please be ready to roll at 9 to hear the announcement regarding this.

There will not be any road markings or support along the route so please come prepared with nutrition and tools to get you back to finish line.   Water stop at mile 32 (Bethesda Church)

Burch Food Truck will be onsite with some of the best Burch Burgers ever at the end of the ride, and as always a pint of cold beer or seltzer from Oconee Brewing Company.
