Description
Route: The course offers a unique look at the beautiful ponds of central and southern Delaware. Enjoy mostly flat roads as you leap from pond-to-pond. Cue sheets will be available on the DDSR Website .
Start/Finish: Check in starts at 7:00 AM and closes at 8:30 am at Lake Forest Central Elementary School, 5424 Killens Pond Rd, Felton, DE 19943. When heading East on Killen’s Pond Road the school is on the left, across the street from the high school Visit the DDSR Website for directions.
Distance: Enjoy one of two rides: the 1/2 metric century (50k or 32 miles) or the full metric century (100k or about 63 miles).
Registration: Early Bird price of $35 until December 31, 2023; Effective January 1, 2024, price will increase to $40 and until online registration closes June 6th at 12 noon. Registration is open on the day of the event and includes cue sheet, marked course, and food stops. Price on race day will be $45. Make checks payable to: DDSR, P.O. Box 1379, Dover, DE 19903-1379. Basket Raffle (full of cycling stuff) $1 for one and 6 for $5. Leap Frog magnets for $5.
E-Bikes: Class 1 and Class 3 e-bikes are permitted on the ride. Class 1: Pedal assist only, with no throttle and have a maximum speed of 20 mph. Class 3: Pedal assist only, with no throttle and have a maximum speed of 28 mph. Class 2 e-bikes are NOT permitted.
Support: Well-marked route, cue sheet, and SAG support. There are two rest stops for the full metric century ride and one for the half metric century. Milton Rest Stop closes at 12:00 PM, Milford Rest Stop closes at 1:00 PM and Finish Area and SAG support close at 2:00 PM.
About DDSR: A group of runners and cyclists, of all abilities, in Kent County, Delaware. Club sponsored events benefit the DDSR Memorial Scholarship, and donations to many organizations to include Adopt-a-Family, Adopt-A-Student and Give a Kid a Chance.
