Epic Ride South Bay

Join us for a very cool Fall Club Sunday cruise along the south Santa Monica bay on the iconic Marvin Braude coastal bike path and up into the spectacular Palos Verde Peninsula. Much of the ride is on bike paths. At the south end of the bike trail you can decide to continue the adventure up to Palos Verde or head back to the start. After a short climb Palos Verde riders will be rewarded with more incredible panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. 

Once at Torrance County Beach , enjoy refreshments and snacks at our SAG stop and decide whether to return back or continue onto for a scenic loop Palos Verde 

CalTri1 (Team Vehicle) will provide water, electrolytes, gels, bananas & snacks

The ride will start and end at Veteran Memorial Park : 4117 Overland Ave , Culver City.

This is a club ride for California Triathlon Club Members.  Don't worry though if you are not a member because Membership is FREE.  Join California Triathlon.

RSVP & WEARING a CAL TRI Jersey  or CAL TRI Triathlon Top is REQUIRED.

Schedule

• Arrive at the park early enough that you are ready to listen to the important announcements. Highly recommend 6:15 AM
• Announcements: 6:45 AM
• Depart(Clip In.): 7:00 AM

Route: 

• Full South Bay Route
• Option 1 - Turn around at Torrance County Beach (south end of coastal bike path). Approx. 35 miles and almost no elevation change.
• Option 2 - Continue on from the costal bike path to ride a loop through Palos Verde. Approx. 57 miles round trip with 2,600 ft of climbing.
