Race Between The Bridges, Harvest Series 2018, Arkansas: @ the Big River Crossing

The Race Between The Bridges, Harvest Series 2018, is hosted by Cirque du Velos of Memphis, TN.

Race Between The Bridges is a multi surface bike race on the newly developing Big River Trail, located between I-40 and I-55 Interstates in Crittenden County, AR.   The races begin at the Arkansas trailhead right underneath the Big River Crossing, on Dacas Lake Road. 

The race will consist of 4 divisions, A, B, C, and the 1 lap fun bike.  The A route will have riders riding 5 laps on a 6.3 mile loop of the Big River Trial.  The B riders will ride 4 laps and the C Riders will ride for 3 laps.  The 1 Lap Family Lap is for mountain bikes or gravel bikes or any bike you like to ride, this division will ride 1 lap on the 6.3 mile course.  Awards ceremony will be presented immediately after race.

The trail/road/race course is owned by Crittenden County, and the first 1/2 mile of the 6 mile course is smooth pavement, and the final 1/2 is smooth pavement.  The middle 5 miles of the course is gravel, packed broken asphalt, and dirt.

The race course will be closed to the public from 8:30 am until 11:am.  All land around the race course is private property, and even in the event of a bike mechanical failure, there are no taking short-cuts through the fields to get back to start line.  No trespassing under any circumstance.

All registrants who sign up will become a member of the "Friends of The Big River Trail - Crittenden County Chapter", and a portion of each entry fee will be donated to the efforts of maintaining and developing new trails along the Big River Trail in Crittenden County.

All registrants can either ride their bikes over the Big River Crossing from Memphis, or park their cars at the Delta Regional River Park parking lot, which is underneath the 3 major bridges.
