Trek Levee TT Series

Race Details:  This is three night time trial series held on the gravel levee road near Markham Park.  Proceeds go to support the Markham Park Trail Building Fund.   Racers are welcome to ride any bike type they like (see categories below).  This is an individual time trial event (not mass start).  Racers will be sent off in 30 second increments and timed over the 10 mile out and back course.  Our permit with the South Florida Water Management District is limited to 50 Riders per Night.  We expect to sell out so please register early if you want to race.

Rules: Racers must stay to the right at all times except when passing.  Pass on the left only, please let the rider know if you are passing "on your left".  No drafting!  Drafting is considered riding within 3 bike lengths.  When passing you have 15 seconds to get out of the drafting zone.  There will be no officials on the course.  Drafting will be self policed.  If you see anyone drafting please report his or her number at the finish.  Mountain Bike style number plates will be issued at registration and must be visible on the front of the bars on all bikes.

Dates: Thursday Nights 6/14, 6/21, 6/28.  Registration 4:45 to 5:45 PM.  Race start 6 PM.

Registration: Park in Markham Park (turn right once entering the park and utilized the South Boat Ramp area for parking).  Ride your bike on the greenway west to the Levee entrance.  Registration will be near the Levee Pump House building. 

• Registration opens at 4:45 and closes promptly at 5:45. 
• All racers, even if you are preregistered must sign in and get a number. 
• Bring a photo ID for identification.
• Day of race registration is available and will be closed at 5:45 or when we hit our limit of 50 racers. 
• The TT will start at 6 PM promptly.
• If you miss your start call up, the clock will be running even if you start late, so don't be late!

Classifications:

• Men Gravel 45mm tires and under. 
• Men Mountain 1.8" tires and over.
• Women (any tire size)
• Men 55+ (any tire size)

Weather:  These TT's will be held rain or shine.  In the event of a thunderstorm or dangerous weather the race will be cancelled without a refund.  Check Trek's FaceBook page for last minute weather updates.   

Results: Results will not be available at the race but will be posted online by 9 PM.

General Classification Awards: Trophies will be awards to the Top 3 in each classification for the Series.  Results are based on the lowest three overall time for the series in each classification.  If you miss a race you will be given the slowest time in your category plus 1 minute penalty.  

Raffle Prize $1200 Bontrager Carbon Fiber Wheelset!  You can choose between Bontrager Aeolus 5 Pro (disk or non disk) or Bontrager Line Pro.  A raffle ticket will be handed out each race to every participant, so you have 3 chances to win.  This prize cannot be redeemed for cash value or warranty transferred to anyone other than the winner.  Trek Bicycle Store Employees are not eligible.  The winner will be picked at the Trek awards party.

Entry Fee:  Online $20 per race or $45 for the Series.  Race day entry $25 or $60 for the Series.

Awards Party:  Immediately after the last time trial on 6/28 an awards party with food and drink will be held at Trek Sunrise 113 NW 136th Street.
