The Syracuse Half Marathon takes great pride in helping LOCAL charities, Each Charity below has a local tie and is near to our heart.

1. Powerful Paws Animal Rescue is a local (Syracuse) 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers. PPAR is dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of abused, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered animals.

2. Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital provides safe, effective, innovative and family centered care for children in the Central New York region.

3. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York provides a temporary home, free of charge, for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in Syracuse.
