Proceeds earned from the race will be donated to the Mattawan Public Education Foundation (MPEF) for use toward their brain strong programs for students. In the fall of 2021-22, we awarded 43 Brain Strong Awards to teachers in all four buildings, putting $25,000 directly back into our teachers’ hands and fueling classroom learning, innovation, creativity and enthusiasm. Teachers use these awards to support and enhance the learning experiences inside and outside of their classrooms. Brain strong summarizes the mission of the Mattawan Public Education Foundation: “to strengthen the community through funding unique educational opportunities.”
