Scenic Michigan is a Michigan-based non-profit who works to enhance the scenic beauty of Michigan’s rural and urban landscapes. Our principal activities include: combating billboard blight, advocating for thoughtful sign and lighting controls, supporting dark skies initiatives, working to enhance Michigan’s scenic byways, and working to protect Michigan’s breathtaking vistas.
We provide technical support for communities, advocate for legislative solutions at the State level, publish resources like our Sign Regulation Guidebook, and host a large annual photo contest to help connect with our members! We also serve as a clearinghouse on ordinances related to our mission for communities to review!
