Description
The Highlands Ranch Mountain Bike (MTB) Series takes place on four Wednesdays in July and August. Each Wednesday night features a different route. All four races take place in our beautiful and pristine Backcountry Wilderness Area with the first three taking place on our Highlands Point Trail System and the fourth taking place on our Wildcat Mountain Trail System.
Mountain bike racers of all abilities are welcome! All categories are for men and women. Points are collected throughout the Series to crown an overall Series Champion in each male/female category at the conclusion of the Series. Racers will have to race in three of the four races to be eligible for series ranking and the Overall Series Champion award. We will take your top three finishes to calculate your final ranking score.
This course consists of two five-mile loops running clockwise for a total length of 10 miles. Total ascent of 856 feet and a maximum elevation of 6,302 feet. Course map: https://www.strava.com/routes/17155094

Weather Policy
The priority of the HR Race Series is to maintain a safe and secure environment for athletes while respecting the natural terrain of our beautiful Backcountry Wilderness. To ensure the safety of all participants and preserve the integrity of our single-track trails, our weather policy is as follows:
- If severe weather is anticipated, a cancellation decision will be made by 3 pm on race day.
- In the event of lightning in the vicinity during the race, a 30-minute delay will be implemented. If lightning is observed during the race, athletes will be stopped as we are able.
- If multiple lightning delays push the original race start time past 7 pm, a cancellation decision may be made.
- Any cancellations will be postponed to a later Wednesday date in August.
If a cancellation is made, an email communication will go out to participants as soon as we are able. Athletes may also call the Race Director's voicemail at 303.471.7048 for an updated recording. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
