Description
The Big Sandy Race started as a celebration for the bridge of the same name that connected miles of single-track trail for hikers, mountain bikers and stock riders on the San Joaquin River Trail.
In its 11th year, Big Sandy will once again include three different courses: 15, 23 and 38 miles. The two shorter routes start at the San Joaquin River Gorge and end at Finegold Bay. The 38-mile pro/expert route starts and finishes at Finegold Bay. This point-to-point race includes over 90% single track with challenging climbs and exhilarating downhills and beautiful views of the San Joaquin River.
Entry includes three (3) food/drink/raffle tickets to use how you choose at the finish line. Meal (2 tickets), beer (1 ticket), entry into raffle. Additional tickets can be purchased during registration or at the finish line the day of the race for $5 each.
For 2018, this race will be put on by Central California Off-Road Cyclists, a 501(c)3. Central California Off-Road Cyclists (CCORC) is a nonprofit organization representing the interest of off-road bicyclist in the Central California Region.
