Founded by oncology researchers in 1993, The Hope Foundation for Cancer Research is a public charity that supports promising cancer research and translational medicine conducted by SWOG Cancer Research Network. SWOG is one of the nation’s largest cancer clinical trials networks that’s funded in part by the National Cancer Institute. The Hope Foundation has received a four-star Charity Navigator rating for more than a decade, placing it in the top 3% of charities nationwide. Hope has found that funded projects have led to highly cited publications, numerous presentations at national and international conferences, larger clinical studies, and outcomes with the potential to change standards of care. SWOG clinical trials have changed the standards of care more than 100 times.
