Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Here's a little info about me and my biking journey:
This is my first time riding Ben to the Shore Bike Tour, but not my first time in the saddle. Last year I rode 500+ miles across Iowa from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River for RAGBRAI 50 (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa). Seven days of riding with thousands of others across the state filled with great food, great concerts, and great memories! Unfortunately, this ride took place over the weekend of last year's Ben to the Shore. I previously completed the 330 mile journey along the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP Trail) & C&O Canal Towpath spanning from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington, DC in 2020. The following year I rode 160 miles of the Vermont Gravel Growler, a road course connecting over a dozen breweries in and outside of Burlington, VT. I did not stop at every brewery, but did indulge quite a bit at the Ben & Jerry's factory.
Combining two things I am passionate about: cycling and being a first responder. I am excited to participate in this year's event that supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation. Their work is important and is something I believe in. To get a glimpse into some of their work, please visit there YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@FBBCF.
"The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs) and cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve."
Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tyler
