STARability's 7th Annual Run, Walk & Roll 5K

Madison Nehls and Her Commitment to STARability

Madison Nehls, Chief Program Officer, has been a cornerstone of the STARability Foundation since 2016, when she joined as the Program Director. With a passion for creating opportunities and fostering independence, Madison played a pivotal role in establishing the Trailblazer Academy. This program has empowered countless individuals, providing them with the skills and confidence to navigate the community and pursue their dreams.

“Seeing the growth and accomplishments of our participants has been incredibly rewarding,” Madison shares. “STARability is more than an organization; it’s a family. Every day, I’m inspired by the resilience and determination of our participants and all staff involved. Being a part of this journey is truly a privilege.”

Connor Nehls: A Volunteer with a Vision, Now A Integral Member of the Team 

Connor Nehls, Director of Engagement, journey with the STARability Foundation began in 2016 as well, when he started volunteering with the Trailblazer Academy while attending Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) for his undergraduate degree. With his dedication and commitment to the organization, he is a key member of the team. His commitment to the cause and the participants has been unwavering, demonstrating the power of community and the profound difference one individual can make in our community.

“When I first started volunteering at STARability, it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life,” says Connor. “The immediate relationships that I built and the progress I’ve witnessed are beyond words. This organization has shown me the true meaning of community and the impact we can have when we come together.”
