As some of you may have heard, my father has been in the hospital for the past few months, battling many severe medical challenges. While this is such a difficult and unimaginable time for our family, there’s one very special organization that makes daily life in the hospital more bearable and helps us get through each day. That organization is — Chesed 24/7. It’s the true definition of pure kindness. The organization is built of selfless individuals who do everything in their power to make life in the hospital easier for patients and their families. Just a few of the amazing things they do in hospitals across America include: Keeping a fully stocked Bikkur Cholim room in the hospital with food and drinks, providing us with apartments near the hospital that we can stay in over Shabbat in walking distance from our dad, sending volunteers to visit and see how everyone is doing, and so much more! I have experienced first hand what they do day in and day out, and I can honestly say I really don’t know what we would do without them right now. This is my chance to give back! So please please help me raise money so they can continue doing what they’re doing more and more everyday! I am raising this Tzedakkah in honor of a FULL Refuah Shelema for my dad ‘Benyamin ben Shoshana’ and in memory of my dear cousin ‘Liel Dina bat Efraim’ ❤️❤️
On February 11, I’ll be participating in RUN 24.7, the exhilarating Chesed 24/7 5K Walk-Run-Raise - and I’m hoping you’ll be my sponsor. Chesed 24/7 is an incredible organization. They operate Chesed hospitality rooms that are a lifeline to patients and their loved ones. It’ll mean so much to me to have your support as I make my way through 5K of track, in the American Dream Mall.
Before you choose how much to donate, I ask you to think of someone you know who is or was in the hospital. Think of what the Chesed room means to them. With your donation, you’ll be ensuring that thousands of patients have the meals, coffee, snacks, and other essentials they count on, from Shabbos candles to Seder plates! Please join me as a I walk, run or raise. Together, we’ll Keep the Rooms Running.
