Hi, thanks for visiting my page!
Helplessness is a word that comes to mind when you are thrown into the uncertainty of a medical crises. As someone who experienced this feeling, I can attest that life can change from from one minute to the next. The hospital has become your temporary home with rarely any time for the respite of real home. When I was in this position the Chesed 24/7 room was a warm embrace, the “hug” I needed to remind me that I was not alone and that I was part of such a loving and giving nation. My family collects seltzer in our New City neighborhood to help stock the Chesed rooms as part of our hakoras hatov. I am grateful that I have another opportunity to support this amazing organization. Please join me in helping supply many more “hugs” for those in need.
On February 11, I’ll be participating in RUN 24.7, the exhilarating Chesed 24/7 5K Walk-Run-Raise - and I’m hoping you’ll be my sponsor. Chesed 24/7 is an incredible organization. They operate Chesed hospitality rooms that are a lifeline to patients and their loved ones. It’ll mean so much to me to have your support as I make my way through 5K of track, in the American Dream Mall.
Before you choose how much to donate, I ask you to think of someone you know who is or was in the hospital. Think of what the Chesed room means to them. With your donation, you’ll be ensuring that thousands of patients have the meals, coffee, snacks, and other essentials they count on, from Shabbos candles to Seder plates! Please join me as a I walk, run or raise. Together, we’ll Keep the Rooms Running.
