Music has been such an important part of my life, I want to help other children experience the same joy.
Playathon is one of New Jersey Youth Symphony’s most beloved traditions featuring a day of fun performances. It’s also our largest fundraiser, raising $100,000. We rely on each student to fundraise at least $295 to help meet this goal because we are trying not to raise tuition to keep NJYS accessible to families. But tuition only covers 70% of program expenses. We must fundraise to ensure the highest quality program, that includes:
- Scholarship and financial aid to provide access for all musicians
- World class artists and master classes
- Performing at the best halls in New Jersey and beyond
