Dear Friends & Family,
Steve and I are once again running the 19th Annual Safe Passage 5K - Virtual Event! Safe Passage is a very worthy organization, near and dear to my heart. We serve over 600 students and 300 families annually, providing free, full-day education, healthcare, nutrition and social services to a vulnerable community in Guatemala City, who would not otherwise have access to these resources.
Many of the families we serve earn a living by recycling discarded items from the garbage dump. This is backbreaking, dirty and sometimes dangerous work that typically averages an income of only $3 - $4 a day.
Please consider giving a gift in support of our students to help break the cycle of poverty through education.
What kind of impact can a single gift from you make?
A gift of $10 pays for 3 student's meals for one day on campus.
A gift of $25 is the equivalent of a student's classroom supplies for over a week (IE. worksheets, pencils, crayons, etc).
A gift of $75 covers the cost of food and preparation for 25 student's meals for a day on campus.
A gift of $100 can provide a student with roughly 1 month of support from our social services team.
Any amount you can donate will make a big impact on these students and community!
With gratitude,
Kerry & Steve
