As many of you know, over the past two months our dad has been in the hospital fighting for his life. Many of us have heard of all the Jewish chesed organizations out there that help in times like these, but few of us really know how much they really do for families in situations like ours… Chesed 24/7 has been there for my family from the start of this battle. They have given us apartments to stay in for Shabbat just a block away from the hospital, providing meals for us when the last thing we can think about is food, had volunteers visit us in the ICU when I needed a shoulder to cry on, a stocked Bikur Cholim room around the clock, the list goes on… I think the biggest challenge of having a family member in the hospital is that it makes it so hard for you to take care of yourself because all you want to do is take away the suffering of your loved one. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Thank you Chesed 24/7 for making this tremendous challenge in our lives a little less painful. Being a part of עם ישראל is the biggest bracha. We are forever grateful ❤️ please donate to help me help others.
Love,
Kayla Carmili

On February 11, I’ll be participating in RUN 24.7, the exhilarating Chesed 24/7 5K Walk-Run-Raise - and I’m hoping you’ll be my sponsor. Chesed 24/7 is an incredible organization. They operate Chesed hospitality rooms that are a lifeline to patients and their loved ones. It’ll mean so much to me to have your support as I make my way through 5K of track, in the American Dream Mall.
Before you choose how much to donate, I ask you to think of someone you know who is or was in the hospital. Think of what the Chesed room means to them. With your donation, you’ll be ensuring that thousands of patients have the meals, coffee, snacks, and other essentials they count on, from Shabbos candles to Seder plates! Please join me as a I walk, run or raise. Together, we’ll Keep the Rooms Running.
