Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival

Please consider helping me in my effort to raise money for the Old Fort Strong Fund.

I am hoping to raise $1,500 as part of a larger goal to raise $2 Million Dollars for the Old Fort Community that was devastated during Hurricane Helene.  As part of the Old Fort Strong Endurance Event, I will be running a 12 hour endurance run with the hopes of completing 50 total miles...to symbolize the 50+ homes destroyed in McDowell County, NC during the historic flooding. This would far exceed my previous longest run of 34.5 miles. With your support, I hope to accomplish the 50 miles even if I have to go over the 12 hours of the event to accomplish this. As long as I am physically able, I plan to keep going until I hit 50. 

This fund is dedicated to helping support community members in Old Fort who have lost their homes or had significant damage to their homes and will not receive any help to pay for rebuilding from insurance.  Due to the massive flooding that took place outside of historic flood zones, many homes did not have flood insurance to cover this cost.  In total 50+ homes were lost in McDowell County alone.  The goal is to raise $2,000,000 from this event alone to help in this cause.  All donations will go directly to helping those in need in our community.
