Waves Of Gray - 5K Brain Cancer/Tumor Awareness Walk

Dear Friends and Family! Thank you for participating with and fundraising for our team, Jimmy's Jolly Joggers, and the 2026 Waves of Gray - 5K Brain Cancer/Tumor Awareness Walk, on Saturday, May 09, 2026 at 8am at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion (75 1st St. N, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250). 

This is our fifth year participating in memory of my dad, Jim King, who we lost to glioblastoma on July 23, 2021. All funds raised will benefit the Waves of Gray Neuro-Oncology Endowment supporting research programs through Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida, where my dad received excellent care. In total, over our 4 years as a participating team, we have raised over $18,000! We hope through fundraising and raising awareness with Waves of Gray we can contribute to finding a cure and improving quality of life for others diagnosed with brain cancers/tumors.

If you are unable to walk the whole 5K or all of the 5K, we have several participants who will come out to the event but will not be walking, so please do not feel obligated to walk the whole 5K or walk at all - there are a lot of other activities happening to participate in.

To donate to our team, please click "donate" above. When donating, if you would like your name displayed along with your donation, you can select "In Memory of ---ENTER NAME HERE" and then select "other" and type in "Jim King on behalf of [your name]. Otherwise, it will display as "In Memory of [Your Name]. There is a glitch with the Run-Sign-up website, but we can fix it on the backend if displayed incorrectly.  

To register this year, it is $25 through Feb 7. The price will go up to $30 on Feb 8, 2025. On April 5, the price goes up to $35. After signing up as a participant on our team, Waves of Gray will automatically create an individual fundraising page for you. You can see mine set up below. If interested, you can share your individual fundraising page with others, who can donate directly to your page, but as a member of our team, the donations will also be added to our team total.
