This year, we each set a goal to ride our bikes a total of 50 miles in September for the Mountains to Desert challenge.
Mountains to Desert is the annual fundraiser for the Just For Kids Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) based in Telluride, Colorado. JFK provides vital funding for scholarships, operating grants, program support, capital & start-up funding, and new/updated equipment to deserving youth & youth organizations within the San Miguel Watershed: the towns of Naturita, Norwood, Nucla, Paradox & Telluride. A special focus is placed on projects that offer leadership opportunities and/or promote self-sufficiency & responsibility.
