Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

As some of you know, on February 14th, 2025, I lost one of my closest friends who succumbed to his injuries from a tragic accident that had occurred 5 days earlier.   Eric was an amazing human being, loved by everyone who knew him.  He was the best co-worker, friend, and dad anyone could ever hope for. It still seems so impossible that I will never see or speak to him again.   In the wake of Eric’s accident, so many people and organizations stepped up to help his family through this terrible ordeal. One in particular immediately stepped up to offer assistance for Eric’s two incredible daughters.  That organization was The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF).   Each year this organization does a 65 mile bike ride from Philadelphia to Atlantic City to raise funds to help the children of fallen first responders like Eric.   Several coworkers and I will be participating this year in Eric’s memory. Eric grew up in Philadelphia until he moved to Atlantic County, making this the perfect way to remember our friend, and to help provide assistance to the children of other fallen first responders.   If anyone has the means to help me reach my fundraising goal, your support would be greatly appreciated. For everyone else, please keep Eric’s girls in your thoughts and prayers, and wish me luck! I haven’t even owned a bike since moving to New Jersey from Kwajalein, RMI in 1993, but I am going to do it for Eric, this year and hopefully again in years to come.   Thanks in advance to anyone who can contribute! And if you are part of my Kwaj Ohana, Mahalo! ❤️
