Hello, Friends!
Once again, I'm riding my bike 200 miles for a good cause - and it's gonna hurt so good!!
From the 26th through the 28th of September, Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotarians will ride en masse from the Russian River area down through Marin, over the Golden Gate Bridge to Pacifica and finally back to Santa Cruz to raise funds for an accessible playground in our community: Treasure Cove at Jade Street Park.
Once our Club heard the Treasure Cove presentation and saw the tremendous design, we knew it was something that we wanted to support.
I feel inspired to ride because:
• One out of every ten children has a disability and traditional playgrounds typically don't meet their needs
• Treasure Cove will be designed for all and cater to special needs
• With a mid-county location in Jade Street Park,Treasure Cove will be easily accessible to families from all parts of the county
THE ASK. I've committed to fundraise a minimum of $1000 (with a personal goal of $1500) and I hope you will consider sponsoring me for this ride.
In addition to the GREAT CAUSE, here's MORE GOOD NEWS about donating: because we have an all-volunteer crew, 100% OF PROCEEDS go to charity - I love that! (And it’s all tax deductible as the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.)
Please click the DONATE button to give online or you can write a check. (And BTW, you will NOT receive future emails or solicitations of ANY kind if you donate.)
Checks can be made out to "Sunrise Rotary Foundation" and mailed to:
Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise
PO Box 7026
Santa Cruz, CA 95061
Please Include "Bike Ride Eileen B" on the Memo Line.
As a final note, while Treasure Cove is our primary beneficiary this year, we do have secondary beneficiaries that are also youth-focused charities: Skills of Life Café, The Teen Kitchen Project, and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County. You may read more about them with this link.
Thank you for sponsoring me and for making a difference in our community!
Warmly,
Eileen
