Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival

Help me in my effort to raise money for the Old Fort Strong Fund. This fund is dedicated to helping support community members in Old Fort who have lost their homes or had significant damage to their homes and will not receive any help to pay for rebuilding from insurance.  Due to the massive flooding that took place outside of historic flood zones, many homes did not have flood insurance to cover this cost.  In total 50+ homes were lost in McDowell County alone.  The goal is to raise $2,000,000 from this event alone to help in this cause.  All donations will go directly to helping those in need in our community.  Please consider giving a one- time donation of either $50, $100 or a higher amount at your discretion.  I have a personal goal of $1,500 or 10 donors giving $100 and 10 donors giving $50.  I grew up in WNC and have several friends from McDowell County and Old Fort NC.  WNC has always been an enduring home that I love.   The last several years I have grown to love the sport of ultra trail running.  I am so thankful I can join other runners to raise money for those in Old Fort NC who have lost homes from Hurricane Helene. The devastation from Hurrican Helene is beyond what most people can fathom.  For those who also share a love of Christ and his heart for brokenness a fascinating verse about endurance is Hebrews 12:1-2.
