As many of you know, I just started road biking in February. I never imagined biking races, let alone biking 500 miles in September. But that's the goal. Between biking a 350 mile ride, a 50k mid month, and a century ride on September 28th - I will log 500 miles in September. That's a promise. That being said ---
I decided to take on the century ride in my home town, Telluride Colorado with the Mountains to Desert virtual fundraiser challenge in September. Anybody want to sponsor a few miles?
Mountains to Desert is the annual fundraiser for the Just For Kids Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) based in Telluride, Colorado. JFK provides essential scholarships, operating grants, program support, capital & start-up funding, and new/updated equipment to deserving youth & youth organizations within the towns of Telluride, Norwood, Nucla, Naturita, Paradox & all points in between. A special focus is placed on projects that offer leadership opportunities and/or promote self-sufficiency & responsibility.
