Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival

Hey folks! I signed up for a 6 hour ride along with several WNC friends running or riding 6-12-24 hours to fund raise for Old Fort Strong!! Help us in our efforts to raise money for Old Fort, NC which was one of many communities affected by the devastating floods of Helene. So many members of our community who have also been affected by Helene are participating in this race, so we’ll need a ton of help from donors outside of the community to raise the funds. This fund is dedicated to helping support community members in Old Fort who have lost their homes or had significant damage to their homes and will not receive any help to pay for rebuilding from insurance. Due to the massive flooding that took place outside of historic flood zones, many homes did not have flood insurance to cover this cost. In total 50+ homes were lost in McDowell County alone. Our goal is to raise $2,000,000 from this event to help in this cause. All donations will go directly to helping those in need in our community.
