Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival

Help me in my effort to raise money for the Old Fort Strong Fund. This fund is dedicated to helping support community members in Old Fort who have lost their homes or had significant damage to their homes and will not receive any help to pay for rebuilding from insurance.  Due to the massive flooding that took place outside of historic flood zones, many homes did not have flood insurance to cover this cost.  In total 50+ homes were lost in McDowell County alone.  The goal is to raise $2,000,000 from this event alone to help in this cause.  All donations will go directly to helping those in need in our community.  

Racing bikes for a cause! On 12/7, I will be lining up in Old Fort, NC for the Old Fort Endurance Festival and racing my bike for 6 hours, in an effort to raise money for people in the town Old Fort who were affected by Hurricane Helene.

This little town has been special to me for a long time as an adventure hub, a base for work, and the people and small businesses have always been so awesome and kind. This town was hit super hard by the hurricane, and many people lost everything. The flooding was so severe that lots of folks HIGH above any historical flood zone with no flood insurance, had everything wiped out. The fundraising is specifically going to aid people who are not going to be covered by insurance, and every bit will go right back into the community.

Over the past 3 weeks or so since the storm, we have been volunteering at every opportunity, and the outpouring of support from near and far has been astounding to say the least. The boots on the ground is so important, but as we shift into rebuilding, the financial aspect is going to be crucial as well.
