After much convincing from my kids: Stephanie, Jaclyn, and Jason, I am thrilled to participate along with them in the 65-mile ride for the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation’s 37th Annual Ben to The Shore Bike Ride on July 21st

Families Behind the Badge is a big supporter of the Montgomery County Hero Fund, which has provided significant support to Jason and the boys after the crash that took Kellie and Emersyn.  Many of the same first responders that our family has worked alongside every day responded and came to our aid during that tragic day and the days and months that followed.

While I’ll ride in memory of fallen first responders and in honor of their families, I also honor the memory of my daughter Kellie and granddaughter Emersyn. They were part of our first responder family, and their lives were tragically cut short by a driver under the influence on August 25,2022.

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs) and cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve.
