I am honored to participate in the 37th Annual The Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation.
This is the 13th year I have ridden in this ride, and I am proud to support Families Behind the Badge, who does incredible good in our area. I have seen how the foundation has supported families of first responders who have suffered unimaginable loss, not just with financial support, but by organizing a community of love to wrap their arms around people who desperately need it. In recent years, the Police Youth Alliance has done great work to bridge the gap between police and our young people, particularly in Norristown where they have helped fund the Get Out and Grind Program, which gives young people a chance to participate in a workout program and listen to a message of antiviolence.
I started riding in 2010 in memory of Officer John Pawlowski, who was killed in the line of duty in February of 2009. He and his wonderful family and friends are to this day an inspiration for this ride. I appreciate any financial support you can give and positive thoughts for a nice cool day on 7/21. Thank you!
