On Saturday, June 1, 2024 the Melrose Family will be participating in the Bethel Horizons Bike-A-Thon to raise funds supporting the Adventure and Environmental Education Programs at Bethel Horizons.
Bethel Horizons is one of our family's favorite places and the Bike-a-Thon is an event we look forward to every year. We are huge fans of Horizon's Adventure & Environmental Education programs that have entertained and educated our children (and us grown-ups!) for many years. When we started participating in the Bike-a-Thon, we were a family of five on three bikes: two adult bikes with pull-behind bikes (bought used for the occasion) and a tween on their own bike. Today, everyone is on their own bike, and sometimes the kids beat us to the lunch stop! The highs and lows and everything in between - are we there yet? Cookies for dessert! It's too hot... We did it! - are all special memories.
We plan to bike about 30 miles from Mt Horeb to Ridgeway and back on the Military Ridge State Trail. We set a goal of raising $400 total from the Melrose Family. Will you support us in this goal?
