- Founded in 1995 with a primary goal of unifying University of Santo Tomas Nursing alumni in Metropolitan Houston as encouraged by the former Dean Conchita Maceda.
Ms. Merlita Velasquez was inducted as the First President 1997, Houston hosted the First National Convention for the University of Santo Tomas Nurses Alumni Association of America. It was the starting point that was followed by other UST groups from various cities till it’s name was changed to University of Santo Tomas Nursing Alumni International. - USTNAMAAH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional, charitable, educational, religious, civic organization, and a unifying force for all nursing Alumni of the University of Santo Tomas in the Metro Houston area and its vicinity.
2011- USTNAAMH hosted another National Convention during Ms. Rey Tapia’s administration
USTNAAMH has been active locally and nationally.
